As we approach the six-month mark since welcoming isteinvids on board as our new lead programmer for the Doctor Who Custom Mod (DWCM), I'm taking a moment to reflect on the challenges we've faced in bringing this ambitious project to life. For those who may not be aware, yof has been our lead programmer for the majority of the three years working on DWCM, but unfortunately, his increasing workload due to college and a startup job in Silicon Valley has meant that he's had to take extended breaks from work on the mod.

As someone without programming expertise, I want to emphasize that I'm not solely responsible for completing DWCM. The truth is, programming this project has never been an easy task. It requires dedication, perseverance, and a team effort. Despite the setbacks, I've always been willing to answer questions about the project's progress in the past.

Now, let's talk about testing. We initially announced that we'd begin the alpha phase soon, followed by an open beta public release a few weeks later. However, it's been nearly four years since our last update, and I understand why fans might be wondering when we'll finally see the mod released. To put this in perspective, many mods with similar content offerings have reached completion much faster.

I know that you, as the creator of DWCM, want to deliver a bug-free experience for your audience. However, it's clear that there have been significant delays. I'm not here to reiterate questions about release dates; instead, I want to acknowledge the efforts being made behind the scenes to bring this project to life.
