Diablo 2 Resurrected Bot 2021: The Reality Behind the Chaos

The release of Diablo 2 Resurrected has brought with it a wave of excitement among fans, but unfortunately, also a surge in bot activity. Loot bots have been vacuuming up every single piece of loot from Cow level and Baal runs, leaving behind a trail of chaos in European, American, and Asian communities.

It's astonishing to think that despite the availability of 'better' tools, some players still opt for these illicit methods. In fact, we've already seen numerous high-end items being sold on the market, with sellers flaunting their 50 Shakos and Tal Rasha items just weeks after the game's release.

Botting is a widespread issue across various games, including Path of Exile (PoE), World of Warcraft (WoW), Final Fantasy XIV (FF14), Diablo 3 (D3), League of Legends, and Apex Legends. In D2, bots typically operate undetected, except for the occasional chat spam bot that infiltrates public lobbies.

In contrast, WoW's botting problem has been a persistent issue since its Vanilla days, with many designed to automate repetitive tasks like mining and herbalism in Eastern and Western Plaguelands.

It's also important to note that if you're noticing bots, it's likely because they're not operating correctly. In reality, botters often go undetected, and their impact is felt across the game's leaderboards. You may have noticed that many top players on the ladder have incredibly high play times – up to 22/23 hours a day for an entire month straight.

In fact, the top ladder spots have been dominated by botters since shortly after the release of Reaper of Souls in D3. The issue is not unique to Diablo 2 or even Blizzard's games; it's a persistent problem that requires continuous efforts to combat.
